Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Product Governance Director to join our VAS Portfolio Ops team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring the governance around new products and enhancements. In addition to creating the governance around product taxonomy and hierarchy, you will be responsible for defining the future state of our VAS roadmaps, including our internal commercial roadmaps, client-facing roadmaps, and product development roadmaps. This role will be collaborating across the different business units, and work cross-functionally with global and regional counterparts within and outside product.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate on behalf of VAS in the creation of one Visa-wide product taxonomy that will be shared across product, finance, client services, sales, technology, regions, etc. Document, implement and manage the product taxonomy governance process for VAS, in accordance to Visa guidelines and the Product Lifecycle Framework. Monitor and manage the product accountability list for the entire VAS organization. Define the future state of the VAS roadmaps, ensuring they align with our strategic goals and objectives. Lead the automation of product roadmaps in partnership with other lines of businesses (i.e., Consumer Payments and Commercial and Money Movements Solutions) and manage the roll-out to all relevant VAS stakeholders. Oversee the update and publication of the internal VAS commercial Roadmaps, while continuously enhancing the content and the experience of those using them. Work with the rest of the team to create and publish product development roadmaps. Collaborate with Corporate Communications and the Central Ops team to create “one Visa” client-facing roadmaps Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and effective management of expectations.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• Prior work experience in management consulting, client delivery and product management strongly preferred
• Ability to independently lead and manage complex projects with multiple workstreams across stakeholders at both senior and junior levels
• Ability to understand a product and distill “what’s in it for the client” from its description
• Understanding of our client landscape
• Balance strategy and execution orientation with the ability to quickly synthesize information and communicate (story-tell) to share vision with constituents at various levels
• Strong program management skills to coordinate and lead complex projects with cross functional teams.
• Bold -- Not afraid to question, push, share own point of view, and respectfully question historical ways of operating
• Outstanding influence skills including integrity, credibility, empathy, collaboration, and ability to connect people and work

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 146,900.00 to 213,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
