Design Engineer

Infosys is seeking a Design Engineer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Tulsa (OK) or be willing to relocate to the area.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering
At least 4 years of experience in Aerospace Industry as a Design engineer.
Must have expertise in tools like Catia V5, Enovia/Smarteam.
Must have experience in aerospace propulsion structures and systems design

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate should have 4+ years of experience on aerospace Propulsion Structures & Systems (PSS) design & development.
Candidate should have experience in design of various nacelle structures like cowl door, jet pipe, thrust reverser and working level knowledge on nacelle harness routing and EBU (engine build up).
Candidate should have experience in Catia V5 Sheet Metal, Aerospace Sheet Metal, Generative Shape Design, Part Design and DMU (Kinematics) is required.
Candidate should have knowledge and good understanding on GD&T concepts.
Candidate should have experience in generating 2D drawing using Catia V5.
Job duties include scheduling, integrating work statement, coordinate with offshore team, verify accuracy of the offshore output and present the solution to IPT team
Should also be responsible to provide technical input for new pursuits and customer engagement initiatives.
Experience in electrical harness design, business jets knowledge, should costing and value engineering would be an added advantage.

The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
