Software Engineer III, Engineering Productivity, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  
• 2 years of experience building developer tools that improve developer velocity, code quality and code health (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks).
  
• Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build tools/infrastructure that help productivity, releases, and testing for YouTube's App, including building YouTube components framework and dashboards, performance debugging and testing tooling, test efficacy and effectiveness metrics and improving our Bad Developer Days for the Main App.
• Work closely with YouTube's Premium and Commerce teams to come up with tooling that supports expansion and scale-up of YouTube's subscriptions.
• Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams and peers across engineering/Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and product.
