Sr Data Analyst

Bangalore, India

As an Sr. Data Analyst, you will be part for Engineering IT team and responsible to ensure robust data management/flow across engineering systems. This also involves putting in place MDM (Master Data Management) practices for key engineering systems, by working closely with Engineering IT Business Partners / Product Owners and understanding the next generation of systems/tools being built. This role also requires ensuring the relevant dataset is available/extracted from data lake for consumption for analytics, search, machine learning or consumption needs.

Key Areas of Responsibility and Roles:

  • Define and implement the approach for managing engineering data (from all sources, such as test labs, simulations, CAD and other siloed systems) connect with business stakeholders and Engineering IT business partners to ensure consistency of data availability for tools/processes of future (extraction from data lake, define what is relevant for analytics, machine learning).
  • Ensure Master Data Management practices are followed/implemented for robust data flow (identify single source of truth for all engineering systems, along with ownership and governance)
  • Work closely with system integration teams and architects to ensure connectivity between systems are not duplicated, enabling data access as relevant.
  • You will be instrumental in collaborating and achieving success with a combination of internal resources (developers, contractors, IT Business partners) and business stakeholders.
  • You are expected to solve problems with an innovative mindset and leveraging new and upcoming technologies.
  • You will be responsible to follow project management practices for your tasks - ensuring to highlight support as needed and deliverables with good quality and on timely basis.

Position requirements:

  • Bachelor's Or Masters Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or in Engineering.

Experience required:

  • At least 7 years of experience in the field of data management and extraction and knowledge on SQL, NoSQL and other storage methods.
  • Significant experience working with large ecosystem of tools and implementing master data management practices.
  • Experienced with cloud-based systems and tools that can be used for data analysis/cataloging & processing.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Organized and capable to lead assigned projects independently, including accountability.
  • Knowledge of cloud hosted applications/development tools for data management.
  • Experience with integration technologies/ architecture, REST API, Cloud based API's, Secure integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with innovative mindset (leveraging and exploring new technologies).
  • Proficient in global and multicultural communications.
