It’s rare today to find someone like Andrea Eisenberg, who has worked for the same company for more than 20 years. She first joined the SaaS software company CCC Intelligent Solutions in 2000, and since then she has worked her way up from a customer service role to leading a team of more than 300 people.

“I immediately knew CCC was the right place for me,” she says. “CCC’s commitment to both employees and customers was evident from my first day on the job. I could feel the culture difference. The company not only outlined its values, but management truly led by these values from the top down.”

Today, Eisenberg is the Senior Director of Total Loss Operations, a team that is currently growing and looking to fill a variety of remote positions.

Here, she shares how CCC’s culture of learning has helped her thrive, why she loves being a mentor, and the importance of creating a career development plan.

How has CCC Intelligent Solutions invested in your development and helped you move up in your career?

CCC has invested so much in my career and in several different avenues. I have had the opportunity to be mentored by proven leaders who helped me hone my skills. I have also taken part in many workshops and trainings led by both internal experts and outside consultants. But nothing compares to the firsthand experience I have been exposed to while learning on the job. CCC strives to promote from within and in every new role I have encountered, I have learned more tools for me to use in the future.

Additionally, CCC is vested in Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodology, which really interests me. I was supported as I earned my Black Belt within LSS. I have been able to use this knowledge in leading and supporting numerous projects to drive both quality and efficiency.

What is your favorite part about the company culture? What’s kept you there for more than two decades?

The culture truly does start at the top and flows down through every level. CCC proactively gathers employee feedback via surveys, roundtables, and everyday interactions and acts upon the information provided to them. The company believes in developing employees and encourages them to use their strengths in the role that is right for them. If you put the effort in, it is guaranteed your management team will support you along the way.

On the flip side, as a people leader, one of my favorite things is receiving ideas from the team, then watching them grow in their careers. I have had my share of remarkable mentors and I aspire to be that for others, which is extremely rewarding to me.

What are you responsible for in your current role? What do you like most about your job?

I am responsible for the Total Loss team, which has more than 300 employees. This team is accountable for providing local market valuations on private passenger and commercial vehicles across the United States that have been involved in a potential total loss. The team supports our customers on both the front and back end of this process.

My favorite part of what I do is two-fold. Number one is who I am fortunate enough to work with; the people here are amazing! Secondly, I get to learn something new every day because the automotive and technology industries are ever-changing, providing new opportunities to develop and grow.

What roles are you currently hiring for at CCC Intelligent Solutions?

The Total Loss department has many open roles, primarily within our customer service area. There are additional opportunities as you grow in your career with CCC because we look to develop our employees and promote them from within. We recruit from various locations across the United States because our openings within Total Loss are true work-from-home positions, which is a huge benefit to our employees.

Why is now an especially exciting time to join CCC Intelligent Solutions?

The industry is ever-changing, which leads to more development and growth. Additionally, CCC Intelligent Solutions is a leading company within our business and supports its employees through a continuous learning environment.

We understand you went back for a graduate degree in business, management, and marketing during your tenure at CCC Intelligent Solutions. How did the company support you in this endeavor?

The company was extremely supportive in a few different aspects. I took advantage of the tuition reimbursement program that CCC offers, which helped pay for additional schooling. Additionally, my leaders were flexible with my schedule for classes, understanding I was working full time and balancing a busy career while still needing time and energy for my spouse and children. The opportunity to return to school at that point in my life and career would not have been possible without the support from CCC and my leadership team.

What advice do you have for others who are hoping to grow internally at their company?

First, talk with your manager to make them aware of your aspirations. Then, with your manager, build out a true development plan with tangible milestones and goals. After I started at CCC, I immediately knew I wanted to someday join the training and quality team. Partnering with my manager, I planned out how I was going to get there and achieved that goal in under three years. I put this plan on repeat with each career step I took, and it has paid back in dividends over the past 23 years.

I would also add to say “yes” to every opportunity, no matter how intimidating or scary it may feel. Continuous learning can push you out of your comfort zone, but is important at any stage of your career and has opened countless doors for me.

Who have been your greatest role models throughout your career and what have they taught you?

I have had many role models internally at CCC, including my manager and my EVP. They have believed in me every step of the way and have continued to push me and lift me up in all the right ways, while demonstrating their trust along the way. My biggest role model in all aspects of my life is my grandmother. She is 95 years old and has shown the greatest tenacity of anyone I know. Grandma is my true aspiration.
