Sarah Grace always thought she was going to be an attorney—but her professional journey shifted after she realized that law school wasn’t the path for her.

It was at this pivotal moment that Sarah Grace connected with a close friend who had started working at Enterprise Mobility, a leading provider of mobility and transportation technology services and solutions. After this friend referred her, Sarah Grace joined the organization, and she hasn’t looked back since.

“From the very beginning, you get to determine your own career path,” Sarah Grace says. “You’re in the driver’s seat with many opportunities to advance. I’m somebody who always loves the next challenge, and that’s something Enterprise Mobility offers… This is a place where you can feel at home, grow a career, and retire.”

Thanks to this “unlimited professional growth” Sarah Grace has experienced great upward mobility at the organization. And, today, she’s an area rental manager in the Nashville market.

Here, Sarah Grace shares more about her exciting role, what surprised her the most about working at Enterprise Mobility, and how the organization supports diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Tell us more about your role and how it impacts the larger organization.

I oversee seven branches, and I work directly with customers who come into the office each day and need to rent, whether it’s for business, personal use, or replacement use.

The role of area manager impacts the business by making sure that we’re hiring the best and the brightest to add to our team and grow in the daily rental operation. I coach, train, and develop my team—making sure that they understand the big picture of what the organization offers as they continue to advance their careers and grow the business in local neighborhoods. One of Enterprise Mobility’s founding values is that we strengthen our communities, one neighborhood at a time. We do this by being a transportation solution for customers when they need us the most. We partner with local dealerships and body shops and provide contracts for corporate travel partners who need vehicles to get to their meetings and grow that side of their business. My job is to oversee and make sure that employees are meeting the needs of those partners.

How long have you been with Enterprise Mobility? Why have you stayed, and what’s been your biggest accomplishment while you’ve been at the organization?

I’ve been with Enterprise Mobility for over 12 years. The reason that I’ve chosen to stay with this organization is the people. Where I feel the most excitement in my job is hiring management trainees and watching them progress in their career, pass various milestones of the trainee program, and get promoted.

My biggest accomplishment is seeing team members excel, take that next step in their careers, and surpass challenges that they didn’t think they would be able to overcome. That’s where I get the most fulfillment in my role.

What has surprised you the most about working at Enterprise Mobility?

I think people assume that what we do is simply rent cars, but there’s so much more to the organization and what we offer. It truly is a career path with unlimited potential in terms of personal and professional growth. It’s challenging, it’s exciting, and it’s something different every day. That’s one of the things I love most about the job.

What excites you about your future at the organization?

I know this is my forever home. This is where I plan to finish my career and retire. It’s truly because it is a family atmosphere with great opportunity to move up within the organization, whether that’s continuing to move up in the car rental or going into one of the other business lines, the opportunity is limitless.

What Enterprise Mobility offers is uncapped professional growth. That’s what sold me on the dream when I first came in, and it’s what continues to push me forward. The future is really bright, and I’m super excited to see what the next steps will be.

Let’s touch more on the opportunities Enterprise Mobility provides. Could you describe the internship programs at the company?

Enterprise Mobility offers a world-renowned internship program. Globally, we offer amazing internships where you get your foot in the door and can potentially join as a full-time management trainee and be exposed to multiple business lines to continue to advance your career.

Could you describe how Enterprise Mobility prioritizes diversity, inclusion, and equity?

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are massively important here, and that starts in the hiring process. We want potential candidates, when they walk into any of our operations, to see themselves in the current staff and to know that this is a place that will support them as individuals.

Finally, can you describe the people and culture at Enterprise Mobility?

One of the things that drew me to Enterprise Mobility is the founding value of: We strengthen our communities one neighborhood at a time. We are encouraged to give back to our communities. One of the ways that we do that is through our My Purpose. My Time. benefit. This benefit affords team members with paid time off to volunteer at a charity that is personal to them. Being able to volunteer and give back is very important to the current workforce, and that’s something that we not only encourage team members to do, but we pay them to do.
