While we absolutely love Fashion Week, all of the ooh-ing and aah-ing over clothes we can’t wear until after spring and summer seems to be a bit of a tease.

So, as the gorgeous fall 2012 looks of Kate Spade New York and the Rebeccas (Minkoff and Taylor) strutted down the runway, we couldn’t help but notice the spring staples worn by NYFW’s chic attendees. Although it was a bit chilly that week, our favorite style bloggers were perfectly outfitted in spring’s swoon-worthy trends. Check out what they wore—and how you can get their looks, too.

Look 1: Tinted Trousers

Nothing says casual-cool like a pair of this season’s colored pants. From peacock blue to pastel pink, you can work them in just about every hue this spring. Paired with a structured blazer, a breezy tee, and boho-bright accessories, this look is perfect for a weekend stroll through the park or a coffee catch-up with the girls.

Try the Trend: colored jeans · blazer · top · necklace · ring · flats

Look 2: Brights on Brights

Worn by Blair from Atlantic-Pacific

It takes a bold lady to work the bright-on-bright trend, but we know you’re up for the challenge! Colorful peplum shapes are the “it” silhouette for spring, and we love them cinched with a belt, just like Blair. Pair a loud dress or top and skirt with equally loud accessories, swipe on some candy-colored lipstick, and you’ve nailed a going-out look perfect for spring.

Try the Trend: peplum dress · bright belt · bangles · purple pumps

Look 3: Flower Power

Worn by Liz from Late Afternoon

April showers bring May flowers, so it’s no surprise that spring styles have flower power written all over them. You can incorporate the print in a girly top or skirt, or go bloom-crazy by donning a pair of floral trousers! Balance the boldness of those bouquets with neutral fabrics like lace, khaki, and linen. To complete this lunch date look, opt for a chunky necklace that makes a serious statement.

Try the Trend: floral pants · lace top · necklace · trench coat · heels

Look 4: Texture Tango

To keep up with the wishy-washy spring weather, combine hot and cool fabrics (this’ll help you get extra mileage out of your winter staples, too). This spring, it’s all about mixing and matching fabrics and textures, so pair leather pants with a sheer blouse, lightweight sweater, and chunky knit scarf. Play around with pops of orange, turquoise, and yellow, and don’t forget to throw on your ankle booties, which will be perfect with a flowy miniskirt later in the season. The look is perfect for daytime shopping, or lose the sweater and scarf to be ready for bar-hopping later on.

Try the Trend: leather pants · sweater · sheer blouse · wrap bracelets · booties
