10 Personal Finance Experts to Follow on Twitter

Since Pennywise began last fall, I’ve moved at my credit union from a role in which I worked one-on-one with members to one in which I coordinate our social media presence. Our goal is to be the one-stop-shop finance experts for our members—which means, part of my new job description has been seeking out the best advice and resources in the Twitterverse and sharing them with our followers.

Turns out, there’s some pretty awesome experts out there, specializing in everything from investing advice to living on a budget. If you’re looking for a constant stream of wise money posts, check out a few of my favorite finance feeds on Twitter.

1. For an Academic and Public Policy Perspective: @A_Lusardi

Annamaria

A professor at the George Washington School of Business, Annamaria Lusardi is a strong advocate for financial literacy. Follow her for tweets on the intersection of public policy and personal finance knowledge.

Manisha Even I’ll admit to being somewhat intimidated by investing, but the articles Manisha Thakor shares help me gain familiarity with current trends. If you want to learn more about investing, I definitely recommend following.

Billfold When a post from The Billfold appears in my Twitter feed, I simply have to read it. The catchy personal stories will draw you in and make you rethink your own financial situation.

As I scroll through my Twitter feed on the go, I favorite the articles I come across that I want to give more time to. Many of those are from GoGirl Finance. Follow to keep up with the site's latests posts, as well as excellent finance reads from around the web.

Money Under 30 I’m sure you’ve heard the advice: Start saving and investing early, and you’re all but guaranteed a solid financial future.
