The Commercial Operations Leader is responsible for activities and processes that help the organization achieve business objectives. The role impacts approaches, projects, programs, and ways of working in the functional area or affected business organization, including quality, efficiency, and effectiveness. Guided by commercial practices and policies that may be shaped by the role, this position has influence over commercial priorities. High levels of Commercial judgement are required to achieve strategic outcomes and objectives.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for business front and back office effectiveness, productivity analysis and metrics, business process compliance, and continuous improvement of Commercial operations.
  • Develops specialized knowledge of latest commercial developments in own area and communicates effectively to influence others. Contributes towards strategy and policy development to ensure delivery within area of responsibility. Liaisons strategically between Sales and Operations.
  • Exhibits in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
  • Uses judgment to make decisions and solve moderately complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns, and customers. Takes new perspectives on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college [or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of experience in commercial business process management (process design, implementation, and control)]
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial business process management (process design, implementation, and control)

Desired Characteristics

  • 3+ years of experience in Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement
  • Knowledge of Unison business processes.
  • Experience with tollgate and deal review processes.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, training, executing, and improving business processes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills, including PMP Certification.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
