See no one talks about the physiological effect of having cancer. This to me is a eye opening post. Way to go daily muse. Things that make blogs great are new views on tough topics. Good luck girls i truly wish you the best.
“Cancer may not have taken my life, but it took my identify.”
For many women, a cancer diagnosis not only strips them of their health and energy, but also of their confidence, optimism, and sense of self. So, while there are so many amazing ways that organizations, people, and healthcare centers are treating the disease, we often forget to treat the patients, too.
That’s where the non-profit Look Good, Feel Better comes in. The organization is dedicated to improving the self-esteem and quality of life for people undergoing treatment for cancer—by treating them to them to hair, makeup, and other beauty essentials and lessons. It may seem like a small thing, but take it from these women, the confidence that comes along with looking great is the first step to feeling better.
