Fast Fixes: The 6-Minute Dessert

Java Chip Cake

Still feeling down about how much money you owe the IRS? Fast Fixes has the perfect pick-me-up: Kirbie’s Cravings’ Java Chip Mug Cake.

The intense espresso flavor of the moist cake and the molten, rich chocolate complement the cool creaminess of the fresh whipped cream, providing the type of therapy only a flawlessly composed dessert can deliver. In just over six minutes, your number-crunching ordeal will be a distant memory.

Notes:

  • If you can’t find mini chocolate chips, use regular-size ones.
  • No oversize mug? Split the batter into two cups (like I did) and share the tax-therapy love. Make sure to microwave the cups separately, though, and halve the cooking time.
