Video Pick: How to Break Habits

We all have those little habits we’d like to change. Maybe you hate the fact that you bite your nails, or you’d love to curtail your twice-daily Starbucks runs. But actually making that leap from thought to action? That’s a little trickier.

New York Times reporter Charles Duhigg had a habit he wanted to break, too, but he took a pretty drastic approach. He decided to write a book on what drives habits, and how we can effectively stop them: The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business.

What he found (and shares in this quick video) is that a little bit of self-insight can help you break even the most seemingly ingrained habits—more easily than you might think.
