So far this month, we’ve thrown a lot of tips for success your way—from broad ways of thinking about your career path to very specific tactics for perfecting your job applications. And while it’s all been useful information (we hope!), it can also be difficult to keep track of everything!

So, if you’re looking for a quick summary on what it takes to be successful, check out this funny, energetic TED talk from entrepreneur and “success expert” Richard St. John. In just three minutes and eight simple themes, he sums up the results of interviews with over 500 successful people about how they got to be where they are (making it sound like a surprisingly simple feat!). I really liked this video. It was a really smart, creative, and find way to drive the point home that succsess requires other things aside from just “wanting” it.
