Weekend Recovery: The Day After St. Patrick’s Day

Last night was St. Patrick’s Day, so, we’re pretty sure there’s quite a bit of “recovery” happening today. Luckily, no matter what shape you’re in this morning, we’ve got what you need to make it a great day (or, well, at least one that’s a little less painful).

Watch

If you had one too many bottles of Guinness last night

There is nothing funny about a hangover, unless, of course, you envision it as an overly excited, painfully obnoxious dude named Charles who’s decided to spend the day with you. If watching this doesn’t make you feel better, try one of these Irish hangover cures. Hey, those Irish might know something—they’re the ones that got you here in the first place.

Make

If you have one too many bottles of Guinness left in your fridge

Screen Shot 2012 03 17 at 4.47.52 PM 300x298 Weekend Recovery: The Day After St. Patricks DayGuinness beer sales skyrocket around St. Pat’s, but if you’re like me, you buy a six-pack because you feel festive, take a few sips of one, and then let the rest hang out in your fridge until someone else wants them. (Or maybe you’re a Guinness-fiend and just don’t feel like drinking today—shocking).

In any case, use the leftovers to make one of these 100 tasty treats, from brownies and cupcakes to fondue and Guinness-Thyme Lamb if you’re feeling really peppy. (Sorry, I don’t know what to tell you about that half-keg of green beer.)

Giggle

If you want to remind your friends just what happened last night

Skip the half hour of Facebook photo-tagging (because no one wants that anyway) and send your pals a friendly reminder of last night’s shenanigans with a carefully selected Someecard. (And file this one away for next year, when the day after St. Patrick’s Day will, sadly, be a work day.)
