There’s a newer New Girl on Fox: Mindy Kaling. She’s been cracking us up on NBC’s The Office for years as a writer, executive producer, and cast member, and now she finally has her own show.
The trailer for The Mindy Project hit the Internet yesterday, and it looks delightfully chock-full of the mishaps and ditziness that made Kelly Kapoor so darn loveable. Kaling plays a woman who seems to be a lot like herself (named “Mindy,” no less) who’s an OB/GYN. But behind the kick-ass career lies a character with a few issues—being arrested for being a “rapist of peace and quiet,” for one.
