District Operations Manager

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services and Systems division is hiring a District Operations Manager to join our Field Services Engineering team. This regional leadership role will be based out of our Chandler, Arizona site.

What you'll do:

The District Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day field service business and personnel. In addition, this position will support the regional sales force in penetrating the regional markets through control of price and with an emphasis on value and service to the customer.

Eaton's Engineering Service & Systems division team brings extensive skills and experiences to field service engineering. We assist customers at every stage of the power system: offering start-up and commissioning of equipment, performing planned maintenance, monitoring performance, diagnosing system problems remotely, as well as responding to emergencies on a 24/7 basis, 365 days a year.

In this role you will:

• Act as sales and marketing agent in conjunction with sales and operations management to ensure top line sales and bottom-line profit objectives are met.
• Develop and manage profit plan and monthly forecasts with accuracy so that the operation meets these numbers on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis.
• Responsible for budgeting and procurement of capital equipment for the region, efficient execution of sales quotes, cost control, leveraging subcontractors, inventory management, managing receivables, and turn of backlog and projects.
• Assure an effective and skilled staff through recruiting, assessment of talent (find gaps and follow action plans to fill gaps), training & development, goal setting, communications, performance appraisal, and conformance to applicable company policies and standards.
• Assure the safety of employees who work in low, medium, and high voltage work environments. Assure strict compliance with safety policies, develop and deploy safety programs, assure safety equipment resources are available and properly tested, provide direction for proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Effectively manages leadership team of diverse and dispersed field-based workforce throughout assigned region. Demonstrates good corporate citizenship. Assures the security and effective allocation of company resources and assets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited institution, preferably in electrical industry
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a service, sales or engineering role within the electrical industry
• Minimum 5 years of Supervisory experience leading a service or engineering unit
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
• Legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without company sponsorship
• Knowledge of power distribution, control products; as well as field service practices and procedures

The expected annual salary range for this role is $136500.03 - $200200.04 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
