Responsibilities

The Interfaces team has accountability for the future state of solutions that exchange data between the Enterprise Claim System (ECS) transactional data store and areas external to ECS. A data exchange may be inbound, outbound, or both. Many of these interfaces are responsible for regulatory compliance and require high availability and quality. We are in modernization mode - the Host Interfaces are in the process of being converted to Spring Boot APIs as a part of Host Modernization using BluAge/AWS technology in conjunction with the Host Modernization team. We will be implementing Wave 1 into production in the next month with all remaining jobs already planned and queued for transformation. In addition, our current and new Java APIs are being modernized as a part of ECS Modernization and will use the AWS platform. This position will require a lead software engineer who has experience with AWS and Java to lead Claims Data Interfaces modernization, training existing engineers to ensure success, while working closely with the host team to ensure functionality is of quality and reliable for our claims business partners.

Qualifications

• AWS & Experience in AWS Ecosystems
• Strong experience Java, NodeJS, Python, etc.
• Base knowledge of industry tools, frameworks, and languages such as Java, J2EE, Spring Framework (Spring, Spring Boot, etc.), SQL, JavaScript, SOAP, REST, XML, WSDL, CXF, JSON, Junit, Mockito, EasyMock, Splunk, Redis, LDAP, Vault, Swagger, React, Node.js, Spark, Python, and Mainframe technologies
• Growing and building Engineering teams
• DevOps experience using Git and software pipelines; ability to create pipelines/automation to deploy changes to production with quality and DevOps best practices (GIT, GitOps, etc.), resiliency, alerting and monitoring
